Sunshine Residential Community, a well-known high-grade residential community in Hunan, will be built soon. The builder conducted a rigorous selection of alkali - resistant glass fiber meshes from multiple suppliers, with a focus on testing the long-term performance stability of the materials in an alkaline environment. After a 28-day immersion test in a NaOH mixed solution, our fiberglass alkaline resistant mesh, 160g-4mmx4mm, stood out with an alkali-resistant retention rate of 71%, far exceeding than other competitors (usually not beyond 50%), and became the only designated wall reinforcement material for this project.
Project Challenges
This residential community is positioned as high-end one. The construction party has extremely high requirements for the crack resistance and durability of the walls. Especially in the humid climate of the South, traditional materials are prone to strength attenuation due to alkaline erosion, which affects the safety and service life of the building structure.
